It’s a month long baby shower to support three hard-working pregnancy care centers that service Jennings County!
The St. Joseph Rosary Society is sponsoring the event and there will be baskets in the back of St. Joseph Church to place items for the month of February.
Who are the 3 Pregnancy Care Centers?
The Gabriel Project, a ministry of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, has its own branch at CCJC with the donation hub at St. Ann Church. Parishioner Kelly Elkins heads up the ministry. A wonderful article, that quoted Kelly, was done by The Criterion explaining the Gabriel Project. You can find that HERE!
“They can get in a cycle where they think things will never get better. We provide a relationship that gives a bigger picture and can lead them to Christ and put them on a more positive road. We help them set goals, help them know that they aren’t alone and just try to encourage them to just be the best mom they can be and let them know God has them where he wants them,” Elkins said.
If you have questions about our Gabriel Project you can call Kelly at 812-350.4631 or watch this video about The Gabriel Project’s efforts in the archdiocese!

Missy’s Hope Maternity Home had its inaugural fund-raising dinner at St. Mary’s Parish Center in 2022. The home is a community faith-based effort. The evening raised almost $10,000 that showcased the personal witnesses of the keynote speakers– all women who chose life and not abortion for their babies. Read that HERE.
The home also has some paid employment opportunities. You can find out more information and how to contact them HERE!
Or read more about the home’s founder and the inspiration for Missy’s Hope in The Criterion article HERE.
