For those who don’t know Fr. Jerry Byrd has a deep devotion to St. Philip Neri — the saint of joy!
While in Rome at his conference on the Mission of the Priest Fr. Byrd was able to visit the church where St. Philip Neri lived and pray at this saint’s tomb!
Fr. Byrd also got to catch up with some familiar faces traveling on pilgrimage in Rome where he was able to celebrate Mass at the tomb of St. Alphonsus Liguori. Fellow archdiocesan priests Fathers Sam Rosko, Jeffrey Dufresne, and Fr. Chris Mileski (Ohio) celebrated Mass with Fr. Ryan McCarthy and some of his altar servers from Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Indianapolis at St. Alphonsus Liguori’s tomb!
