Priesthood Sunday is a time of thanks for all the priests who have consecrated their lives to God.
Without our priests there would be no Eucharist. They administer the sacraments to us. There is always a priest standing with us in the most pivotal moments of our lives: Baptism, Marriage, Confession.
They are there when we are ill administering the Anointing of the Sick or holding the hand of the dying.
